Emmy O'Shaughnessy

Emmy O'Shaughnessy

I innovate and implement creative visions which have strong social impact. CEO of a charity in Oxford which harnesses the power of human connection and creativity to change lives. I passionately believe in the power of the arts as a vehicle for social change and have 15 years of experience of developing creative programmes which tackle complex social issues. Gender Empowerment is one of the key projects I have developed in Oxford and beyond, gathering over 10 years of working with with young women vulnerable to CSE, women in the criminal justice system and young women in the care system. If I could have two wishes, they would be to end sexual violence and transform the state care system for children and young people. I champion the voices of people who feel unheard and invisible in society and passionately believe that with the right support, everybody has the potential to be a leader.
